It rinsed easily enough and left my hair feeling normal. It lathers up A LOT – due to the sulfates. The shampoo is a clear color and is a gel-like consistency. It has a nice clean hair product type of smell which I enjoyed. I used this in the shower the other night. For me, it dries my hair out over time and weighs it down. The Dove shampoo has sulfate as the second ingredient which if you’ve read a beauty blog in the last 2 years you would know if no good for your hair for a lot of reasons. I usually use Kristin Ess products which I adore because they are cruelty-free, effective, and sulfate-free. My hair is thin and fine with oily roots and drier ends. But, for the sack of this post and the corresponding video, I tried these products and this happened… You can read up more on cruelty-free statuses on OPENLETR. The packaging of these bottles says PETA certified cruelty-free but if you know anything about the politics of cruelty-free status it isn’t that simple. They feature ALL products, including Unilever brands like Dove. This is something that makes me love Influenster a little less.
